The Gift of the Magi (賢者の贈り物) - A Summary

A young couple, Della and Jim, were poor but deeply in love. Della had no money to buy a Christmas present for Jim. She went so far as to sell her beautiful long hair to buy a chain for his prized watch. Meanwhile, Jim sold his watch, only to find that Della had bought a chain for it. He had bought her a set of combs for her long hair. It was foolish of them to give up their greatest treasures, but it was also wise of them to show their love.
