I grip my ticket like a lucky charm and whisper to Kumi:

Kumi gives a small laugh, but as we step into the automatic gate, she goes stiff.
A blast of air messes up our hair and the floor vibrates.
“If I grow another leg, call the authorities,” I joke.

English Translation
As we cross the threshold, the world changes.
The entrance shines like the lobby of an underwater palace: hanging lamps, polished marble, aquariums lining the walls.
“Are we sure this isn’t a spaceship?” Kumi whispers.
