Si alguien me hubiera preguntado cómo imaginaba un submarino de lujo, jamás habría pensado en algo como el Oceanus Grandis. Dicen que mide más de trescientos metros y tiene más habitaciones que un hotel de cinco estrellas. Solo mirar el folleto ya me da vértigo.

English Translation
If someone had asked me what a luxury submarine looked like, I’d never have imagined something like the Oceanus Grandis.
They say it’s over three hundred meters long, with more rooms than a five-star hotel. Just looking at the brochure gives me vertigo.

“Is this a submarine or a floating city?” Kumi mutters, flipping through glossy pages.

Los billetes cuestan una fortuna. Solo la élite sube a bordo, famosos, empresarios, políticos. En los foros dicen que hasta un príncipe extranjero ha reservado la suite más cara.

English Translation
The tickets cost a fortune. Only the elite get on board—celebrities, tycoons, politicians.
Online forums say even a foreign prince booked the most expensive suite.
—¿Y si hay un restaurante con menú de degustación de algas? —pregunta Kumi, con cara seria.
—Me pido triple ración de “sopa misteriosa de plancton”.

“What if they have a tasting menu of seaweed?” Kumi asks, dead serious.

We both get carried away with our silly imagination.
Lo que más me impresiona no son las cifras, sino la idea de dormir bajo toneladas de agua, rodeados de peces y oscuridad.
Kumi dice que es “poético y aterrador”. Yo no sé si quiero ser poeta o náufrago.

English Translation
When I told my mom about the submarine, her first words were:
“Aku, promise me you won’t press any red buttons.”
I promised, but… well, temptation is always there.
