De vuelta en la sala, el capitán intenta animar el ambiente:
—Por lo menos nadie ha envenenado el postre. ¡Es un avance!
Pero Kumi le corta.
—Todavía hay un asesino entre nosotros.
Silencio incómodo. Hasta la cabra deja de mascar servilletas.

English Translation
Back in the meeting room, the captain tries to lighten the mood:
“At least no one poisoned the dessert. That’s progress!”
But Kumi cuts in.
“There’s still a killer among us.”
An uncomfortable silence. Even the goat stops chewing napkins.
Aku repasa los testimonios y señala:
—Nadie vio al jefe de mantenimiento desde la cena.
—Pero la cabra sí estuvo en la sala de máquinas…
—¡Objeción! —grita el camarero—. La cabra fue mi oponente de ajedrez toda la noche.

English Translation
Aku reviews the testimonies and points out:
“No one saw the chief engineer after dinner.”
“But the goat was in the engine room…”
“Objection!” shouts the waiter. “The goat was my chess opponent all night!”
Kumi examina la huella pequeña hallada antes.
—No es de un niño. Mirad el dibujo… Es una pezuña.
Aku se asoma.
—¿Entonces…?
—Alguien quería hacernos creer que la cabra era culpable. Pero es una falsa pista.

English Translation
Kumi examines the small footprint found earlier.
“It’s not a child’s. Look closely… It’s a hoof mark.”
Aku peers in.
“So…?”
“Someone wanted us to think the goat was guilty. But it’s a red herring.”
En ese momento, Itao llega corriendo:
—¡Encontré esto junto al cuadro eléctrico!
Es un pañuelo manchado… de crema azul.
—¡La crema de postres del pastelero! —exclama Aku.
—Pero el pastelero no pudo salir de la nevera.
—Alguien usó su crema para despistar —reflexiona Kumi.

English Translation
At that moment, Itao comes running:
“I found this by the electrical panel!”
It’s a handkerchief stained with blue cream.
“That’s the pastry chef’s dessert cream!” exclaims Aku.
“But the pastry chef couldn’t have left the freezer.”
“Someone used the cream as a distraction,” Kumi reflects.
