La chica de la máscara de zorro se acerca a nosotros con paso ligero. Su pelo rojo brilla bajo la luz del pasillo.
—¡Hola, equipo de bichos raros! ¿Buscáis la siguiente pista o solo amigos cangrejos?

English Translation
The fox-masked girl approaches us with a light step. Her red hair shines in the corridor lights.
“Hey, team of weirdos! Looking for the next clue or just making crab friends?”
—Depende, ¿tú eres pista o enigma? —le responde Itao, curioso.
—Ambas cosas. A veces también menú infantil —contesta la chica, misteriosa.
Kumi sonríe.
—Eso sí que es multitarea.

「君はヒントなの？謎なの？」イタオが好奇心いっぱいに聞く。
「両方よ。たまにキッズメニューもね」少女が謎めいた声で返す。
クミが笑う。「それ、本当のマルチタスクだね」
English Translation
“Depends—are you a clue or a riddle?” Itao asks, curious.
“Both. Sometimes a kids’ menu, too,” the girl answers mysteriously.
Kumi smiles.
“That’s real multitasking.”
—¿Tienes una pista para nosotros? —pregunto.
—Tengo algo mejor: una adivinanza. Si la resolvéis, os diré dónde ir.
—¿Por qué los acertijos siempre aparecen con gente con máscara? —susurra Kumi.

English Translation
“Do you have a clue for us?” I ask.
“I have something better: a riddle. If you solve it, I’ll tell you where to go.”
“Why do people with riddles always wear masks?” Kumi whispers.
La chica se inclina y recita:
—“No soy pez, pero nado en el mar. No soy pájaro, pero puedo volar. Me encuentras en la mesa, y en la tormenta también. ¿Qué soy?”

English Translation
The girl leans in and recites:
“I’m not a fish, but I swim in the sea. I’m not a bird, but I can fly. You find me on the table, and in the storm as well. What am I?”
Nos miramos en silencio.
—¿Un cangrejo ninja? —aventura Itao.
—¿Una galleta voladora? —pregunto en serio.
Kumi se tapa la cara.
—Creo que la respuesta es “la sal”. Nada en el mar, vuela en el aire (sal fina), está en la mesa y la tormenta es “lluvia de sal marina”.

English Translation
We look at each other in silence.
“A ninja crab?” ventures Itao.
“A flying cookie?” I suggest seriously.
Kumi hides her face.
“I think the answer is ‘salt’. It swims in the sea, flies in the air (fine salt), is on the table, and in a storm (sea salt spray).”
La chica aplaude.
—¡Respuesta correcta! El siguiente reto os espera en la “Sala de la Tempestad”. Si llegáis antes de que pase el trueno rosa, tendréis ventaja.

English Translation
The girl claps.
“Correct answer! The next challenge awaits you in the ‘Room of Storms’. If you get there before the pink thunder strikes, you’ll have an advantage.”
—¿Y tú, eres rival o aliada? —pregunta Itao.
—Depende de si me traéis caramelos.
Y desaparece entre risas y el tintineo de su máscara.

English Translation
“So are you an enemy or an ally?” Itao asks.
“Depends if you bring me candy.”
And she disappears, laughing, her fox mask tinkling.
