Sentamos a la señora del loro en una sala privada, rodeada de tazas de té y bizcochos (el loro exigió magdalenas antes de cooperar). Kumi sacó su libreta de sushi y puso cara de detective duro. —Primera pregunta: ¿por qué su pez dorado estaba en la sala de máquinas, envuelto en mayonesa? La señora alzó su taza con elegancia. —Querida, el oro y la mayonesa siempre traen fortuna. Pero yo dejé el pez en mi camarote. Najimi, con flotador y todo, miró serio. —¿Tiene testigos? —Solo mi loro. Pero él miente cuando tiene hambre. El loro gritó: —¡Yo nunca miento! Solo improviso.

English Translation
We sat the parrot lady down in a private room, surrounded by tea and biscuits (the parrot demanded muffins before “cooperating”). Kumi took out her sushi notebook, wearing her best detective face. —"First question: Why was your golden fish in the engine room, covered in mayonnaise?" The lady lifted her cup elegantly. —"Dear, gold and mayonnaise always bring good fortune. But I left the fish in my cabin." Najimi, with float and all, looked serious. —"Any witnesses?" —"Only my parrot. But he lies when he’s hungry." The parrot squawked: —"I never lie! I just improvise."

English Translation
I, a bit nervous, asked: —"Have you noticed anything odd among the VIP passengers?" The lady smiled mysteriously again. —"On this ship, nobody is who they seem. Yesterday I saw the captain dancing salsa in the kitchen, and the soup critic wearing two different socks." Najimi pointed the toy magnifier. —"That’s relevant!" —"The socks?" —"No, the salsa dancing! All crimes happen after a good party." The parrot yelled: —"I want to dance too!"

English Translation
At that moment, a waiter burst in, panting. —"The lights have gone out in the main hall!" Outside the window, the sea seemed even darker than usual. Kumi jumped up. —"We have to investigate before the real culprit acts!" Najimi grabbed the float, the parrot snatched three muffins, and I could only think: "Please don’t let the buffet be ruined…" The mystery was getting thicker, like mayonnaise left out in the sun.
