La primera reunión del grupo completo fue una noche ventosa en el parque abandonado. Nos sentamos en círculo sobre la hierba húmeda, iluminados por la tenue luz de un farol portátil. El estudiante extranjero, Lena, sugirió que cada uno compartiera sus sueños más recientes. Descubrimos que a veces soñábamos las mismas escenas: una ciudad sumergida en niebla, el reflejo de una torre imposible, una sombra acechando detrás de todos. We discovered that sometimes we dreamed the same scenes: a city drowned in mist, the reflection of an impossible tower, a shadow lurking behind everyone. Las habilidades de todos parecían agudizarse: Lena podía ver portales incluso con los ojos abiertos; el chico de los sueños animales comenzó a entender el lenguaje de los gatos callejeros; la niña de los azules veía hilos de luz conectando los portales ocultos por la ciudad. Y yo… sentía que podía percibir la presencia del Rey Demonio, un pulso oscuro y lejano, como un tambor de tormenta acercándose.
