Cuando la lluvia amaina al mediodía, el mundo parece recién lavado. Las hojas brillan bajo la luz, y los charcos del patio reflejan trozos de cielo entre nubes. En el almuerzo, todos nos sentamos juntos cerca de la ventana. El ambiente está impregnado de una tranquilidad especial; incluso las voces parecen más suaves, como si la lluvia hubiera calmado las prisas del día.

When the rain eases at noon, the world seems freshly washed. Leaves shine in the light, and puddles in the schoolyard reflect pieces of sky among the clouds. At lunch, we all sit together by the window. The atmosphere has a special calm; even the voices sound softer, as if the rain has soothed the rush of the day.

Después del almuerzo, algunos alumnos salen al patio a jugar entre los charcos, saltando y riendo. Desde nuestra mesa, vemos cómo las gotas caen de las ramas y cómo el sol empieza a abrirse paso entre las nubes, llenando el aula de una luz dorada. Por un momento, el tiempo parece detenerse, y siento que estos instantes sencillos se quedarán conmigo para siempre.

After lunch, some students go out to the yard and play among the puddles, jumping and laughing. From our table, we watch as drops fall from the branches and the sun starts to peek through the clouds, filling the classroom with golden light. For a moment, time seems to stop, and I feel that these simple moments will stay with me forever.

Najimi saca su cuaderno de bocetos y propone que todos dibujen algo que les haga pensar en la lluvia. Rápidamente, la mesa se llena de garabatos: gotas, paraguas, caracoles, y hasta una rana con botas. Kumi dibuja una flor creciendo bajo la lluvia y, al enseñarla, su sonrisa es tan luminosa como la luz recién llegada al aula.

Najimi takes out her sketchbook and suggests that everyone draw something that reminds them of rain. Soon, the table is full of doodles: drops, umbrellas, snails, and even a frog with boots. Kumi draws a flower blooming in the rain, and when she shows it, her smile is as bright as the sunlight just entering the room.
