Con el paso de los días, la nieve en la ciudad de Kumi se va fundiendo y los rayos del sol dibujan caminos de luz sobre el hielo. En clase, todos hablan de las vacaciones de invierno y de los planes para el nuevo año.

日が経つにつれてクミの町の雪は少しずつ溶けていき、氷の上に差し込む光が春への道を描いていた。学校ではみんなが冬休みや新年の計画について楽しそうに話している。

As days go by, the snow in Kumi’s city slowly melts, and sunlight draws bright paths on the ice. In class, everyone talks happily about winter vacation and plans for the new year.

Kumi siente un cosquilleo de esperanza al pensar que, tal vez, pronto podrá volver a ver a sus amigos. Prepara pequeños regalos para llevar de regreso, eligiendo con cuidado algo especial para cada uno.

Esa noche, Kumi mira la luna y escribe en su diario: “La distancia enseña el valor de cada reencuentro. Quiero abrazar a todos muy fuerte cuando llegue el momento”. Afuera, la nieve brilla suave bajo la luz plateada, como si también esperara el regreso de la amistad.

That night, Kumi looks at the moon and writes in her diary: “Distance teaches you the value of every reunion. I want to hug everyone tight when the time comes.” Outside, the snow glows gently under the silvery light, as if waiting for friendship to return as well.
