Ak sostuvo la pulsera plateada bajo la luz. Las letras grabadas formaban un nombre apenas legible: “Kumi”. Najimi y Komehyo se acercaron tanto que casi le golpean la cabeza a Ak con la suya. Komehyo intentó bromear, pero su voz tembló. —Si esto fuera una película de terror, ahora mismo aparecería la música tenebrosa… Najimi sonrió, quitándole la pulsera de las manos a Ak. —O una historia de amor, ¿no? “El chico encuentra la joya perdida de una misteriosa chica…” —¡Solo si después no viene el monstruo a reclamarla! —protestó Komehyo.

アクは銀色のブレスレットを光にかざした。刻まれている文字は「クミ」とかろうじて読める。ナジミとコメヒョも興味津々で頭がぶつかりそうな距離まで近づいてくる。コメヒョは冗談を言おうとしたが、声が少し震えていた。 「これがホラー映画なら、今ごろ不気味なBGMが流れるな…」 ナジミはにやりと笑い、ブレスレットをアクの手からひったくった。 「いや、恋愛ストーリーかもよ？“主人公が謎の少女の落とし物を見つけて…”」 「そのあとモンスターが返せって出てくるパターンはナシで頼む！」とコメヒョがすかさず突っ込む。

Ak held the silver bracelet up to the light. The engraved letters spelled a barely readable name: “Kumi”. Najimi and Komehyo leaned in so close they nearly bumped heads with Ak. Komehyo tried to joke, but his voice trembled. "If this were a horror movie, the creepy music would start playing now…" Najimi grinned and snatched the bracelet from Ak’s hands. "Or maybe it’s a love story? ‘The boy finds the lost jewel of a mysterious girl…’" "Only if the monster doesn’t come to take it back!" protested Komehyo.

Cuando Ak trató de bromear, notó algo raro: la pulsera parecía calentarse en la mano de Najimi, y por un segundo, una imagen fugaz cruzó por su mente: la misteriosa chica parada bajo la lluvia, mirando tristemente a alguien que no podía ver. —¿Ak? ¿Te has quedado dormido de pie otra vez? —Najimi agitó la mano delante de su cara. Ak sacudió la cabeza, incómodo. —Creo que… vi algo raro. Tal vez solo fue mi imaginación.

When Ak tried to make a joke, he noticed something strange: the bracelet seemed to warm up in Najimi’s hand, and for a moment, a fleeting image flashed in his mind: the mysterious girl standing in the rain, looking sadly at someone he couldn’t see. "Ak? Are you sleepwalking again?" Najimi waved her hand in front of his face. Ak shook his head, feeling uneasy. "I think… I saw something weird. Maybe it was just my imagination."

El timbre del final del recreo los sobresaltó. Najimi guardó la pulsera en el bolsillo y prometió devolverla si encontraban a su dueña. Ak miró de reojo el pasillo, inquieto. Komehyo, por su parte, proponía hacer una “investigación paranormal” después de clases, por si la pulsera traía “maldiciones gratuitas”.

The bell marking the end of recess startled them. Najimi put the bracelet in her pocket, promising to return it if they found the owner. Ak glanced uneasily down the hallway. Komehyo, meanwhile, was already planning a “paranormal investigation” after school, just in case the bracelet came with “free curses.”
