English Translation
Sometime before dawn, as tiredness made their watch falter, a strange noise echoed from the roof. It was like something heavy sliding over the tiles. Everyone froze in silence, listening with their hearts pounding.

The noise vanished as quickly as it came. The group sat in silence for a while. Aku wondered if what stalked them didn’t have to be human. Maybe the danger keeping them trapped was even stranger and more inexplicable.
