La noche parecía no tener fin. Tras el mensaje en la ventana, nadie se atrevió a separarse del grupo ni un momento. Rui insistió en que debían reforzar todas las cerraduras y bloquear puertas y ventanas con muebles. Así lo hicieron, temblando, sin dejar de vigilarse entre sí.

The night seemed endless. After the message on the window, no one dared to be alone for a second. Rui insisted that they reinforce all the locks and block doors and windows with furniture. Trembling, they did so, watching each other all the while.

English Translation
