Die Weltmeisterschaft 2010 fand in Südafrika statt – zum ersten Mal auf dem afrikanischen Kontinent. Deutschland trat mit einer jungen, dynamischen Mannschaft an. Unter Trainer Joachim Löw entwickelte sich das Team zu einem der attraktivsten des Turniers. Spieler wie Mesut Özil, Thomas Müller, Manuel Neuer und Sami Khedira zeigten großen Einsatz und spielerische Klasse. Besonders beeindruckend war der 4:1-Sieg gegen England im Achtelfinale und das 4:0 gegen Argentinien im Viertelfinale.

The 2010 World Cup took place in South Africa – the first time the tournament was held on the African continent. Germany fielded a young and dynamic squad.
