The next morning, Tsubame rushed into the kitchen with dust on her hands and excitement in her voice. “You won’t believe what I found! There’s something hidden behind the wallpaper in the old hallway upstairs.”

We all hurried upstairs. The old wallpaper peeled away easily, revealing a section of the wall carved with letters and symbols. Some matched the attic letters; others were new.

Yuki traced a strange spiral. “This isn’t just decoration. It’s a code. Maybe it’s telling us how to finish what the others started.”
