Story (CEFR: B1 English)
After our discovery in the attic, Puzzle House seemed different. Old doors creaked at odd times, and sometimes, voices echoed faintly from empty rooms. Tsubame said, “It’s like the house is trying to tell us something.”

Tras nuestro hallazgo en el ático, la Casa Puzzle parecía diferente. Las puertas viejas crujían en momentos extraños y, a veces, se oían voces lejanas desde habitaciones vacías. Tsubame dijo: “Es como si la casa quisiera decirnos algo.”
One afternoon, I found Yuki in the library, reading one of the attic letters again. She looked up, her eyes full of questions. “Ak, have you ever felt like this place is alive?”

Una tarde, encontré a Yuki en la biblioteca, leyendo otra vez una de las cartas del ático. Levantó la vista, con ojos llenos de preguntas. “Ak, ¿alguna vez has sentido que este lugar está vivo?”
I hesitated. “Sometimes. Especially lately. It’s like Puzzle House knows our fears and our hopes. Maybe that’s why it brought us together.”
Yuki nodded slowly. “And maybe it remembers everyone who ever lived here. Their dreams, their mistakes.”

Dudé. “A veces. Especialmente últimamente. Es como si la Casa Puzzle conociera nuestros miedos y esperanzas. Quizá por eso nos reunió aquí.”
Yuki asintió despacio. “Y tal vez recuerde a todos los que vivieron aquí. Sus sueños, sus errores.”
That evening, the whole group met in the living room to share what we’d found in the letters. Miiro suggested, “What if the house wants us to finish something the others started?”

Esa noche, todo el grupo se reunió en la sala para compartir lo que habíamos encontrado en las cartas. Miiro sugirió: “¿Y si la casa quiere que terminemos algo que otros empezaron?”
Komehyo grinned. “Then we’ll need all our wits and teamwork. The last thing I want is a haunted house with unfinished homework.”
We all laughed, but inside, I knew Miiro was right. The house, our stories, and those who came before us—all were connected. The real puzzle had only just begun.
