Story (CEFR: B1 English)
One cold morning, as golden leaves drifted past the windows, the doorbell rang. We weren’t expecting anyone. Komehyo jumped up first. “Maybe it’s a lost deliveryman—or a ghost!” he joked.

Una mañana fría, mientras hojas doradas flotaban ante las ventanas, sonó el timbre. No esperábamos a nadie. Komehyo saltó primero. “¡Quizá sea un repartidor perdido—o un fantasma!” bromeó.
We gathered in the hall. I opened the door. On the porch stood a girl about our age, with short black hair and a suitcase. She looked nervous but determined. “Um… Is this Puzzle House?”

Nos reunimos en el recibidor. Abrí la puerta. En el porche había una chica de nuestra edad, con el pelo negro corto y una maleta. Parecía nerviosa, pero decidida. “Eh… ¿Esta es la Casa Puzzle?”
Najimi stepped forward. “Yes! I’m Najimi. Welcome! Are you looking for someone?”
The girl nodded. “My name is Yuki. I… I’m supposed to stay here for a while. My aunt arranged it.”

La chica asintió. “Me llamo Yuki. Eh… se supone que me quedaré aquí un tiempo. Mi tía lo arregló.”
Sora smiled. “A new friend! This house is full of surprises.”
Tsubame took out her notebook. “I’ll have to write about this in my journal.”
