Later that night, we sat on the grass outside Puzzle House, the old letters and glowing stone between us. Komehyo looked at the sky. “Maybe every group that lived here left a little magic behind.”

Najimi smiled, leaning her head on my shoulder. “We should make our own promise, like those friends did. That no matter where we go or what happens, we’ll always come back here together.”

Miiro nodded, eyes shining. “Let’s write a letter for the next group—so they’ll know they’re not alone.”
Tsubame took out her notebook. “And I’ll write our story, so it can live here forever.”

We all joined hands under the stars. Sora said, “No puzzle is too hard when we’re together.”
Komehyo laughed. “Except maybe cleaning up after breakfast.”
