Story (CEFR: B1 English)
We stepped carefully down the stone steps, our flashlights flickering over walls lined with old bricks. The air grew cooler and heavier with every step. Najimi clung to my arm. “It feels like we’re in another world down here.”

Bajamos cuidadosamente los escalones de piedra, las linternas iluminando paredes de ladrillo viejo. El aire se volvía más frío y denso a cada paso. Najimi se aferró a mi brazo. “Parece que estamos en otro mundo aquí abajo.”
Komehyo joked, “If we meet a monster, Sora will distract it and I’ll run away first!”
Everyone laughed, but Miiro squeezed Najimi’s hand. “Don’t scare her, Komehyo.”

At the bottom, we found a door covered in strange symbols. Tsubame traced them with her finger. “Some of these look like the riddle from the well. Maybe it’s a code.”
Sora knelt down, shining his light. “Let’s copy the symbols and try to figure them out.”

Al llegar al fondo, encontramos una puerta cubierta de símbolos extraños. Tsubame los tocó con el dedo. “Algunos se parecen al acertijo del pozo. Quizá sea un código.”
Sora se agachó, iluminando con su linterna. “Copiemos los símbolos y tratemos de descifrarlos.”
Working together, we slowly matched the symbols to letters, remembering clues from the cellar and the well. After many guesses, the door creaked open, revealing a hidden room beyond.

Trabajando juntos, fuimos asociando poco a poco los símbolos con letras, recordando pistas de la bodega y el pozo. Tras muchos intentos, la puerta crujió y se abrió, revelando una habitación secreta más allá.
Inside, the walls were covered with old photographs and maps. In the center stood a table with a single box on it, glowing softly in the lantern light.
Najimi whispered, “Is that... the true heart of Puzzle House?”
