The next morning, our “mission day” began with a group breakfast and a pep talk from Najimi. “Everyone, stay safe and write down anything weird you find! We’re detectives now.”

A la mañana siguiente, nuestro “día de misión” comenzó con un desayuno grupal y palabras de ánimo de Najimi. “¡Todos, tengan cuidado y apunten cualquier cosa rara que vean! Ahora somos detectives.”
We split up: Sora and Komehyo checked the attic and tool shed, Tsubame and Miiro searched the library and secret passages, while Najimi and I took the garden and cellar.

As Najimi and I dug through old crates in the cellar, she hummed a song. “Ak, what do you think the ‘key’ is? Maybe it’s something hidden by someone who lived here before.”

Mientras Najimi y yo revisábamos cajas viejas en la bodega, ella tarareaba una canción. “Ak, ¿qué crees que sea la ‘llave’? Tal vez sea algo que alguien que vivió aquí escondió.”
I shrugged, holding up an old lantern. “Or it could be a memory—like Miiro said. Maybe the well was trying to remind us of something important.”
Najimi nodded thoughtfully. “Memories are sometimes the hardest puzzles.”

Hours passed. We regrouped at lunch, everyone sharing their finds: dusty journals, mysterious old keys, faded photographs. Sora had discovered a strange riddle carved on a cellar wall. Tsubame thought it might be a clue.
