The attic of Puzzle House was a place none of us had really explored. As we climbed the narrow, creaking stairs, dust swirled in the sunlight and our flashlights lit up forgotten boxes, old trunks, and hanging cobwebs.

El ático de la Casa Puzzle era un lugar que ninguno de nosotros había explorado de verdad. Mientras subíamos las estrechas y crujientes escaleras, el polvo flotaba en la luz del sol y nuestras linternas iluminaban cajas olvidadas, baúles viejos y telarañas colgantes.
Miiro’s eyes sparkled. “This place is amazing. It’s like a treasure hunt!”
Najimi sneezed as she poked at a pile of books. “Let’s find that next clue before I turn into a dust bunny.”
Komehyo pointed to an old painting leaning against the wall. “There’s something behind it. Ak, help me move it!”

Najimi estornudó mientras hurgaba en una pila de libros. “Encontremos la pista antes de que me vuelva una bolita de polvo.”
Komehyo señaló un cuadro viejo apoyado contra la pared. “Hay algo detrás. ¡Ak, ayúdame a moverlo!”
We pushed the painting aside and found a small wooden box with a number lock on it. A slip of paper was taped to the top: “What is the sum of our house’s secrets? Add the number of bells, clocks, and hidden doors you’ve found.”

Apartamos el cuadro y encontramos una cajita de madera con un candado numérico. Una nota estaba pegada arriba: “¿Cuál es la suma de los secretos de la casa? Suma la cantidad de campanas, relojes y puertas ocultas que han encontrado.”
We counted together. “One silver bell, two clocks, three hidden doors…”
Miiro did the math quickly. “One plus two plus three… That’s six!”
I spun the lock to 6. With a click, the box popped open.

Inside was a small, mysterious key and a new note: “Some doors open only when you’re not alone.”
Najimi grinned. “Guess that means we’ll have to stick together for the next part!”
