Story (CEFR: B1 English)
If I am the quiet piece in this puzzle, Najimi is the one that bursts in and scatters all the other pieces just to see what picture they’ll make next. She arrived in my life one spring afternoon, crashing through the garden gate on a bike with a bent wheel, singing a song she’d just made up. The neighbors all peeked out, worried there was some trouble, but Najimi just laughed and waved at them. She has that power: to turn any awkward moment into a new beginning.

Si yo soy la pieza tranquila de este puzzle, Najimi es la que llega y desordena todas las demás solo para ver qué imagen aparece después. Llegó a mi vida una tarde de primavera, atravesando la puerta del jardín en una bicicleta torcida y cantando una canción inventada en ese momento. Los vecinos asomaron la cabeza, preocupados por el escándalo, pero Najimi simplemente se rió y les saludó con la mano. Tiene ese poder: transformar cualquier momento incómodo en un nuevo comienzo.
Najimi is always moving—her hair never stays in place, her hands are always making things, breaking things, or turning everyday objects into “inventions.” She talks a lot, but it’s never just noise. It’s like she fills the empty corners of a room with sunlight. Some people say she’s reckless, or that she doesn’t think before acting. Maybe that’s true, but Najimi’s world is full of color and courage, and somehow, being near her makes everything seem possible.

Najimi siempre está en movimiento—su pelo nunca está quieto, sus manos siempre están creando cosas, rompiendo otras, o convirtiendo objetos comunes en “inventos”. Habla mucho, pero nunca es ruido vacío. Es como si llenara los rincones de una habitación con luz de sol. Algunos dicen que es imprudente, o que actúa sin pensar. Puede que sea cierto, pero el mundo de Najimi está lleno de color y valentía, y de alguna forma, estar cerca de ella hace que todo parezca posible.
The first thing I learned about Najimi: she hates silence. If a room is quiet, she will start humming or invent a new game. She once declared war on boredom and made everyone join her “No Ordinary Day” campaign. For Najimi, even the most ordinary Tuesday has to include an adventure—no exceptions.

Lo primero que aprendí sobre Najimi es que odia el silencio. Si una habitación está callada, empieza a tararear o inventa un juego nuevo. Una vez declaró la guerra al aburrimiento y obligó a todos a unirse a su campaña “Ningún Día Ordinario”. Para Najimi, incluso el martes más común debe tener una aventura—sin excusas.
She has a favorite phrase: “Rules are just ideas that haven’t had enough fun yet.” When teachers try to scold her, she somehow always ends up making them smile instead. Once, she convinced our math teacher to turn a boring lesson into a treasure hunt, hiding clues all over the school. We never did finish that chapter, but everyone remembered that day.

If you ask Najimi what she likes, she’ll say, “Surprises, rainy days, and friends who aren’t afraid to look silly.” She collects mismatched socks and always carries a pencil sharpener in her pocket—just in case inspiration strikes. With Najimi around, you never know what will happen next. But one thing is certain: nothing is ever boring.
