Story (CEFR: B1 English)
Back in the lounge, the three of us sat with the silver bell between us. Komehyo was already taking notes. Najimi kept peeking at the bell, tempted to ring it right away.

ラウンジに戻り、三人で銀色の鈴を囲んだ。コメヒョはさっそくメモを取り始め、ナジミは鈴をじっと見つめて今にも鳴らしたそうだ。

De vuelta en la sala, los tres nos sentamos alrededor de la campana plateada. Komehyo ya tomaba notas. Najimi no dejaba de mirar la campana, tentada de hacerla sonar enseguida.
“Should we ring it?” Najimi whispered.
Komehyo shook his head. “The note said to use it only if we truly need to remember.”
I nodded. “Let’s save it for something really important. For now, let’s see if there are more clues in the music room.”

「鳴らしてみる？」とナジミが小声で言う。
コメヒョは首を振った。「本当に必要なときだけ使えってメモにあった」
僕も頷く。「大事な時まで取っておこう。とりあえず音楽室に他のヒントがないか見に行こう」

“¿La hacemos sonar?” susurró Najimi.
Komehyo negó con la cabeza. “La nota dice que solo debemos usarla si de verdad necesitamos recordar.”
Asentí. “Guardémosla para algo realmente importante. Por ahora, veamos si hay más pistas en la sala de música.”
We searched every corner of the music room but found nothing else unusual. Still, the silver bell seemed to glow in the morning light, almost as if it were waiting for the right moment.

Registramos todos los rincones de la sala de música, pero no encontramos nada más extraño. Aun así, la campana plateada parecía brillar con la luz de la mañana, como si esperara el momento justo.
That afternoon, Najimi made up a silly song about “the bell that remembers,” and Komehyo tried to calculate if ringing it could somehow affect memory based on “the science of acoustics.” We laughed, but the mystery stayed with us.

Esa tarde, Najimi inventó una canción tonta sobre “la campana que recuerda”, y Komehyo intentó calcular si hacerla sonar podía afectar la memoria según “la ciencia de la acústica”. Nos reímos, pero el misterio seguía presente.
That night, I lay in bed listening to the faint sound of the bell in my mind. Maybe, someday, we really would need its magic.
