Story (CEFR: B1 English)
At sunrise, we met in the old music room. Dust motes danced in the golden light, and the upright piano sat against the far wall, keys slightly yellowed with age. Najimi ran her fingers across the keys, playing a clumsy but cheerful tune.

Al amanecer, nos reunimos en la vieja sala de música. El polvo flotaba en la luz dorada, y el piano vertical estaba junto a la pared, con las teclas amarillentas por el tiempo. Najimi pasó los dedos por las teclas, tocando una melodía torpe pero alegre.
Komehyo examined the room. “If there’s a clue, it must be hidden in or around the piano.”
Najimi pressed a high note. “Or maybe the piano wants to tell us a secret!”
I checked the top of the piano and found a small folded paper wedged between two books of sheet music.

Busqué encima del piano y encontré un papel doblado entre dos libros de partituras.
I read aloud: “To unlock the song of the house, play E, G, and C together.”
Najimi’s eyes lit up. “That’s easy! Let’s try!”
Together, we pressed the keys—E, G, C. The piano made a warm, resonant chord.

Suddenly, a hidden compartment slid open beneath the keyboard, revealing a wooden box with a musical note engraved on it.
Komehyo opened it carefully. Inside was a tiny silver bell and another handwritten note: “Ring to recall forgotten memories. But only when you truly need to remember.”

De repente, un compartimento oculto se abrió debajo del teclado, revelando una caja de madera con una nota musical grabada.
Komehyo la abrió con cuidado. Dentro había una pequeña campanita plateada y otra nota manuscrita: “Hazla sonar para recordar memorias olvidadas. Pero solo cuando realmente necesites recordar.”
We stared at the bell, half in awe, half in curiosity. For the first time, Puzzle House felt not only like a place of puzzles—but a place where even memories had their own secrets.
