Story (CEFR: B1 English)
The library at Puzzle House is dusty, full of crooked shelves and books with faded spines. Najimi immediately began poking around, running her finger along the books as if she could feel which one held secrets.
Komehyo examined the floor, searching for unusual footprints. I just tried not to sneeze.

パズルハウスの図書室は埃っぽく、曲がった本棚と色あせた背表紙の本でいっぱいだ。ナジミはすぐに本を手当たり次第に触りながら、どれが秘密を持っているか指先で感じようとしている。
コメヒョは床を調べて、変な足跡がないか探していた。僕はくしゃみをしないように必死だった。

La biblioteca de la Casa Puzzle está polvorienta, llena de estantes torcidos y libros con lomos descoloridos. Najimi empezó a curiosear enseguida, pasando el dedo por los libros como si pudiera sentir cuál guardaba secretos.
Komehyo examinaba el suelo, buscando huellas inusuales. Yo solo intentaba no estornudar.
Suddenly, Najimi called out, “There’s a book here that doesn’t fit!”
I hurried over. She pointed to a thick red book wedged between much smaller ones. Komehyo leaned closer, inspecting the spine. “It’s not part of the library catalogue.”

僕は急いで駆け寄った。ナジミが指差したのは、小さな本ばかりの棚に無理やり詰め込まれた分厚い赤い本。コメヒョが背表紙をじっと見る。「これは図書室の蔵書リストにない」

De repente, Najimi gritó: “¡Aquí hay un libro que no encaja!”
Me acerqué deprisa. Ella señaló un libro rojo y grueso, metido entre otros mucho más pequeños. Komehyo se inclinó para mirar el lomo. “No está en el catálogo de la biblioteca.”
When I reached for it, the book slipped forward by itself, revealing a small compartment in the wall. Inside was another folded note, this one shaped like a butterfly.
Komehyo read aloud: “Clever eyes find the path. Tonight, watch the shadows.”

僕がその本に手を伸ばすと、スルリと前にすべり出てきて、壁の中に小さな隠しスペースが現れた。その中にあったのは、蝶の形に折られた紙メモ。
コメヒョが読み上げる。「賢い目は道を見つける。今夜、影に注目せよ」

Cuando lo alcancé, el libro se deslizó hacia adelante solo, dejando al descubierto un pequeño compartimento en la pared. Dentro había otra nota doblada, esta con forma de mariposa.
Komehyo leyó en voz alta: “Los ojos astutos hallan el camino. Esta noche, observa las sombras.”
Najimi’s eyes sparkled. “A shadow puzzle! We have to watch for secret messages after dark!”
Komehyo started mapping out the library’s windows and lamps, making predictions.
I glanced at the butterfly note, already feeling the library was more magical than I’d ever imagined.

コメヒョはすでに図書室の窓やランプの位置を地図にし始めている。

Los ojos de Najimi brillaron. “¡Un acertijo de sombras! ¡Tenemos que buscar mensajes secretos cuando anochezca!”
Komehyo empezó a hacer un mapa de las ventanas y lámparas de la biblioteca, haciendo predicciones.
Miré la nota en forma de mariposa, sintiendo que la biblioteca era aún más mágica de lo que imaginaba.
We promised to meet again at midnight. For the first time, it felt like we were real detectives, searching for answers in the mysterious heart of Puzzle House.
