Story (CEFR: B1 English)
The head-to-head round began. Both clubs sat at tables on a stage, spotlights glaring.
The first puzzle was read aloud: “What has keys but can’t open locks?”
Najimi whispered, “A piano.”
Ak wrote it down. “Correct!”
The Cipher Masters solved it just as fast.

The next riddle: “What goes up but never comes down?”
Kumi thought, “Age!”
Komehyo confirmed, “Let’s answer.”
Both clubs answered at the same time again.

Kumi and Hana double-checked logic, Momo spotted a trick, Rikka kept them calm.
After several rounds, the score was tied.

Final question. The announcer smiled. “This riddle will decide the winner.”
Both teams leaned in, tense but smiling.
Najimi whispered, “No matter what, this is fun.”
Ak nodded. “Let’s finish together.”
