Story (CEFR: B1 English)
One rainy afternoon, Komehyo walked in with a box and a serious face. “Club, I have a challenge. This puzzle is said to be unsolvable.”
Ak looked impressed. “Where did you find it?”
Komehyo answered, “A mysterious old shop near the station.”
Kumi shivered. “What if it’s cursed?”
Najimi laughed. “Let’s prove we’re smarter than any curse!”
Momo grinned. “We’ve solved everything so far. We can do this!”

雨の午後、コメヒョが箱を抱えて真剣な顔で入ってきた。「みんな、挑戦状だ。このパズルは“絶対に解けない”と言われてる」
アクが感心。「どこで見つけたの？」
コメヒョ「駅近くの不思議な古道具屋で」
クミが身震い。「もし呪われてたらどうしよう」
ナジミが笑う。「呪いなんかより私たちの方が頭いいって証明しよう！」
モモがにっこり。「今まで全部解いてきたし、絶対できるよ！」

Una tarde lluviosa, Komehyo entró con una caja y cara seria. “Chicos, tengo un reto. Este rompecabezas dicen que es imposible.”
Ak se sorprendió. “¿Dónde lo encontraste?”
Komehyo respondió: “En una tienda vieja y misteriosa cerca de la estación.”
Kumi se estremeció. “¿Y si está maldito?”
Najimi se rió. “¡Vamos a demostrar que somos más listos que cualquier maldición!”
Momo sonrió. “¡Hasta ahora hemos resuelto todo. Podemos con esto!”
They gathered around as Komehyo opened the box. Inside was a puzzle with thousands of tiny, identical pieces.
Ak gasped. “There’s no picture!”
Kumi studied the pieces. “They all look the same…”
Najimi tried to fit two together. “Maybe it’s a trick puzzle?”
Rikka examined the instructions. “It just says, ‘Don’t give up.’”
Momo said, “Then let’s not!”

みんなが集まると、コメヒョが箱を開ける。中には小さなピースが何千個も、全部同じに見えるパズルが。
アクが驚く。「絵がない！」
クミはピースを見比べる。「どれもそっくり…」
ナジミが２つを合わせてみる。「もしかして、だましパズル？」
リッカが説明書を見る。「“あきらめないこと”って書いてあるだけ」
モモが「なら、絶対あきらめない！」

Se juntaron mientras Komehyo abría la caja. Dentro había un rompecabezas de miles de piezas diminutas e idénticas.
Ak se sorprendió. “¡No hay imagen!”
Kumi examinó las piezas. “Todas se ven igual…”
Najimi intentó unir dos. “¿Será un acertijo trampa?”
Rikka leyó las instrucciones. “Solo dice: ‘No te rindas.’”
Momo dijo: “¡Entonces, no lo haremos!”
They spent hours sorting, guessing, and laughing at their mistakes. Piece after piece, nothing seemed to fit.
Najimi sighed. “Maybe it really is impossible…”
Ak encouraged everyone. “Even if we can’t finish, it’s fun trying together.”
Kumehyo wrote down theories and strategies.
Kumi suggested, “Let’s work a little each day.”
Momo nodded. “One day, we’ll finish it. Together.”
The unsolvable puzzle became their new tradition—a challenge always waiting, and a symbol of their friendship.

ナジミがため息。「本当に不可能かも…」
アクがみんなを励ます。「完成しなくても、みんなで挑戦するのが楽しいんだ」

モモがうなずく。「いつか絶対完成させる。みんなでね」

Pasaron horas ordenando piezas, adivinando y riendo de sus errores. Pieza tras pieza, nada encajaba.
Najimi suspiró. “Quizá sí es imposible…”
Ak animó a todos. “Aunque no lo logremos, es divertido intentarlo juntos.”
Komehyo anotó teorías y estrategias.
Kumi sugirió: “Hagamos un poco cada día.”
Momo asintió. “Algún día lo terminaremos. Juntos.”
El rompecabezas imposible se volvió su nueva tradición—un reto siempre presente, símbolo de su amistad.
