Story (CEFR: B1 English)
At the next club meeting, Najimi waved a baton made of rolled-up paper. “Today’s game is a Riddle Relay! Each person solves a riddle and gives a new one to the next.”
Ak grinned. “This sounds like my kind of race.”
Kumehyo adjusted his stopwatch. “I’ll keep track of time and record everyone’s answers.”
Kumi clapped. “Let’s see who’s the fastest riddle solver!”
Momo bounced in her seat. “And the winner gets extra dessert!”
Rikka laughed. “Ready, set, go!”

次のクラブ活動で、ナジミが紙を丸めて作ったバトンを振る。「今日は“なぞなぞリレー”！出されたなぞなぞを解いて、次の人に新しい問題を出すんだ」
アクがニヤリ。「僕の得意分野だね」
コメヒョがストップウォッチを調整。「タイムと答えを全部記録するよ」
クミが手を叩く。「誰が一番早く解けるかな！」
モモは椅子でぴょんぴょん。「優勝者はデザートおかわりだよ！」
リッカが笑う。「よーい、スタート！」

En la siguiente reunión, Najimi agitó un bastón hecho de papel enrollado. “¡Hoy jugamos relevos de acertijos! Cada quien resuelve uno y le da otro al siguiente.”
Ak sonrió. “Esta es mi clase de carrera.”
Komehyo ajustó su cronómetro. “Llevaré la cuenta del tiempo y de las respuestas.”
Kumi aplaudió. “¡Veamos quién resuelve los acertijos más rápido!”
Momo saltó en su asiento. “¡Y el ganador recibe postre extra!”
Rikka se rió. “¡Listos, fuera!”
The relay began. Najimi asked Ak, “What has keys but can’t open locks?”
Ak answered, “A piano!”
Ak gave Kumehyo a new riddle. “What comes down but never goes up?”
Kumehyo replied, “Rain.”
Kumehyo challenged Kumi. “What has a heart but no other organs?”
Kumi smiled. “An artichoke!”
Kumi’s question for Momo: “What has one eye but can’t see?”
Momo grinned. “A needle!”
Rikka cheered as the baton kept moving.

リレー開始。ナジミがアクに出題。「鍵があるのに鍵穴を開けられないものは？」
アク「ピアノ！」
アクはコメヒョへ。「降ってくるけど決して上がらないものは？」
コメヒョ「雨」
コメヒョはクミに。「心臓があって、他の臓器はないものは？」
クミが笑顔で「アーティチョーク！」
クミからモモへ。「目が一つで見えないものは？」
モモがにっこり。「針！」
リッカが応援しながらバトンが回っていく。

Comenzó el relevo. Najimi preguntó a Ak: “¿Qué tiene llaves pero no abre cerraduras?”
Ak respondió: “¡Un piano!”
Ak dio a Komehyo otro acertijo: “¿Qué baja pero nunca sube?”
Komehyo contestó: “La lluvia.”
Komehyo desafió a Kumi: “¿Qué tiene corazón pero no otros órganos?”
Kumi sonrió. “¡Una alcachofa!”
La pregunta de Kumi para Momo: “¿Qué tiene un ojo pero no puede ver?”
Momo sonrió. “¡Una aguja!”
Rikka animaba mientras el relevo seguía.
Finally, Rikka was last. Najimi asked, “Ready?”
Rikka nodded. “Give me your best riddle!”
Najimi grinned. “What has cities but no houses, rivers but no water, and forests but no trees?”
Rikka thought hard, then smiled. “A map!”
Everyone cheered as the relay ended.
Komehyo read the results. “Fastest solver: Momo! Dessert champion!”
Momo blushed with pride as the club celebrated with cake and laughter, already planning their next fun challenge.

ついにリッカがラスト。ナジミが「準備OK？」
リッカがうなずく。「難しい問題ちょうだい！」
ナジミがニヤリ。「町があるのに家がない、川があるのに水がない、森があるのに木がないものは？」
リッカが考え込んで、やがて「地図！」と答える。
みんなが歓声を上げ、リレー終了。
コメヒョが結果発表。「最速解答はモモ！デザート王！」
モモは照れながらも誇らしげに笑い、ケーキと笑い声で次の挑戦を計画した。

Por fin, Rikka fue la última. Najimi preguntó: “¿Lista?”
Rikka asintió. “¡Dame tu mejor acertijo!”
Najimi sonrió. “¿Qué tiene ciudades pero no casas, ríos pero no agua, y bosques pero no árboles?”
Rikka pensó y luego respondió: “¡Un mapa!”
Todos celebraron al terminar el relevo.
Komehyo leyó los resultados. “¡La más rápida fue Momo! ¡Reina del postre!”
Momo se sonrojó, feliz, y el club festejó con pastel y risas, pensando ya en el próximo reto divertido.
