Story (CEFR: B1 English)
Kumi’s first morning at Puzzle House sparkled with excitement. The air was full of voices, laughter, and greetings. Najimi burst into Kumi’s room. “Kumi! Are you ready for your very first Puzzle House adventure?”
Kumi sat up quickly, her hair still messy. “I think so! I barely slept. What happens on the first day?”
Najimi grinned. “You get a tour, a riddle, and maybe a prank. Depends on the mood!”
Komehyo poked his head in, holding a mechanical box. “I made you a Welcome Puzzle. If you open it, there’s a surprise inside. But only clever people can solve it.”
Rikka joined with a small handmade notebook. “And this is for your discoveries, Kumi. Write down every weird thing you find here.”
Kumi laughed, hugging the gifts. “Thank you! Does everyone here always do things together?”
Ak blushed a little. “Well, we try. Want a tour?”
“Yes!” Kumi jumped out of bed. “Show me everything!”

クミのパズルハウス初日は、ワクワクする声と笑いに満ちていた。ナジミがクミの部屋に飛び込む。「クミ！パズルハウスの最初の冒険の準備できてる？」
クミは寝癖のまま起き上がる。「たぶん！ほとんど寝られなかったよ。最初の日って何するの？」
ナジミはニヤリ。「館内ツアー、なぞなぞ、それから…イタズラするかも！気分次第！」
コメヒョが機械仕掛けの箱を持って顔を出す。「ウェルカムパズルを作ったよ。開けられたらご褒美がある。頭のいい人しか開けられないんだ。」
リッカが手作りノートを差し出す。「発見ノートだよ。パズルハウスの変なこと全部メモして！」
クミは笑ってギフトを抱きしめる。「ありがとう！みんな、いつも一緒に行動してるの？」
アクが少し照れて。「うん、だいたいね。案内しようか？」
「うん！全部見たい！」クミはベッドを飛び出す。

La primera mañana de Kumi en la Casa Puzzle estaba llena de emoción y risas. Najimi irrumpió en la habitación de Kumi. “¡Kumi! ¿Lista para tu primera aventura en la Casa Puzzle?”
Kumi se sentó, aún despeinada. “¡Creo que sí! No pude dormir nada. ¿Qué se hace el primer día?”
Najimi sonrió. “¡Recorres la casa, resuelves un acertijo y… quizás hay una broma! ¡Depende del ánimo!”
Komehyo asomó la cabeza con una cajita mecánica. “Te hice un Rompecabezas de bienvenida. Si lo abres, hay una sorpresa. Solo los inteligentes lo logran.”
Rikka entró con un cuaderno hecho a mano. “Y esto es para tus descubrimientos. Apunta todo lo raro que encuentres aquí.”
Kumi se rió, abrazando los regalos. “¡Gracias! ¿Siempre hacen todo juntos?”
Ak se sonrojó un poco. “Bueno… lo intentamos. ¿Quieres un tour?”
“¡Sí!” Kumi saltó de la cama. “¡Muéstrame todo!”
As they walked down the creaky stairs, Kumi pointed at a crooked picture frame. “Who hung this like that?”
Najimi shrugged. “Legend says it was the previous club president. It’s supposed to be good luck.”
Komehyo added, “Or maybe it just fell in an earthquake. Nobody knows for sure.”
They reached the lounge. Rikka opened the curtains, letting sunlight stream in. “This is where we do our late-night mysteries and music nights.”
Kumi touched the window. “You can hear the rain so clearly here.”
Ak nodded. “Sometimes we just sit and listen. Or tell stories until midnight.”
“I love it already,” Kumi said softly.

きしむ階段を降りながら、クミは曲がった額縁を指さす。「これ、誰が曲げて掛けたの？」
ナジミは肩をすくめる。「前の会長の仕業って伝説。幸運になるらしいよ。」
コメヒョ「実は地震で落ちただけかも。誰も真実知らないんだ。」
ラウンジに着くと、リッカがカーテンを開ける。「ここが夜のミステリーや音楽会の会場。」
クミが窓をなでる。「ここ、雨の音がすごく響くね。」
アクもうなずく。「夜はただ雨音を聴いたり、みんなでお話ししたりするんだ。」
「もう大好きだよ、ここ」クミは小さくつぶやいた。

Bajando las escaleras crujientes, Kumi señaló un cuadro torcido. “¿Quién colgó eso así?”
Najimi se encogió de hombros. “Dicen que fue la antigua presidenta del club. Da buena suerte.”
Komehyo añadió, “O se cayó en un temblor. Nadie lo sabe.”
Al llegar al salón, Rikka abrió las cortinas. “Aquí resolvemos misterios nocturnos y hacemos noches de música.”
Kumi tocó la ventana. “Aquí se oye la lluvia muy claro.”
Ak asintió. “A veces solo escuchamos la lluvia. O contamos historias hasta medianoche.”
“Ya amo este lugar,” murmuró Kumi.
After breakfast, Najimi led everyone to the secret garden. “Welcome to our favorite place!” she declared.
Kumi gasped. “It’s beautiful! All these wildflowers… And is that a hidden bench?”
Komehyo nodded. “That’s where we found a time capsule. Want to see what’s inside?”
“Of course!” Kumi said, eyes shining.
They opened the old tin box and looked at photos and notes from past residents.
Kumi turned to Ak. “Do you think we’ll leave memories like this, too?”
Ak smiled. “I think we already are.”

朝食の後、ナジミが秘密の庭に案内。「ここはみんなのお気に入り！」
クミが感嘆。「きれい！野花がいっぱい…ベンチも隠れてる？」
コメヒョ「タイムカプセルが埋まってる場所なんだ。見る？」
「もちろん！」クミの目が輝く。
古い缶を開け、写真やメモをみんなで眺める。
クミ「私たちも、いつかこんな思い出を残せるのかな？」
アク「もう作ってる気がするよ」

Después del desayuno, Najimi guió a todos al jardín secreto. “¡Bienvenida a nuestro rincón favorito!”
Kumi se maravilló. “¡Es hermoso! Todas esas flores silvestres… ¿y ese banco escondido?”
Komehyo asintió. “Allí encontramos una cápsula del tiempo. ¿Quieres verla?”
“¡Claro!” exclamó Kumi, los ojos brillando.
Abrieron la vieja lata y miraron fotos y notas de antiguos habitantes.
Kumi miró a Ak. “¿Crees que nosotros también dejaremos recuerdos así?”
Ak sonrió. “Creo que ya lo estamos haciendo.”
Back in the lounge, Najimi clapped her hands. “It’s time for the Welcome Riddle!”
Rikka grinned. “No pressure, but everyone has to solve at least one riddle to become an official member.”
Komehyo held up a piece of paper. “Here it is: What belongs to you, but others use it more than you do?”
Kumi tapped her chin. “Let me think… Is it… my name?”
Everyone cheered. “Correct!” Najimi said. She placed a tiny door-shaped charm in Kumi’s hand. “This is the Puzzle House Key. You belong here now.”
Kumi’s voice was gentle but firm. “Thank you. I was nervous at first, but… you all make me feel so welcome. I want to make lots of memories here.”
Ak said, “We’re happy you’re here. And, um, if you ever want to solve a mystery together, just ask.”
Rikka linked arms with Kumi. “Let’s plan our first adventure!”
Najimi laughed. “Only if you promise not to eat all the snacks on the way.”
Komehyo bowed playfully. “Welcome, Kumi. You officially passed your first Puzzle House test.”
Kumi looked at her friends. “Let’s open a hundred doors together.”
And so, Kumi’s first day was filled with riddles, laughter, and new friendship—the perfect beginning for a hundred more adventures.

ラウンジに戻ると、ナジミが手を叩く。「歓迎なぞなぞタイム！」
リッカがニヤリ。「新入部員は最低一問は解かなきゃダメなんだよ」
コメヒョが紙を掲げる。「これだ。“あなたのものなのに、他の人がよく使うものは？”」
クミは少し考えて…「名前？」
みんなで拍手。「正解！」ナジミが小さなドア型のチャームを手渡す。「これがパズルハウスの鍵。もう仲間だよ」
クミはやさしく、はっきりと言う。「ありがとう。最初はすごく緊張してたけど、みんなのおかげですぐ安心できた。たくさん思い出を作りたいな」
アク「来てくれてうれしい。謎解きしたい時はいつでも声かけてね」
リッカがクミの腕を組む。「じゃあ最初の冒険を企画しよう！」
ナジミ「その前に、おやつ全部食べちゃダメだからね！」
コメヒョがおどけてお辞儀。「クミ、第一試験合格だよ」
クミはみんなを見渡す。「百個でも扉を開こうね！」
こうしてクミの最初の日は、なぞなぞと笑いと友情にあふれ、次の百の冒険へつながる一日となった。

De vuelta en el salón, Najimi aplaudió. “¡Hora del acertijo de bienvenida!”
Rikka sonrió. “No hay presión, pero todos deben resolver al menos uno para ser miembros oficiales.”
Komehyo levantó una hoja. “Aquí va: ¿Qué te pertenece pero otros usan más que tú?”
Kumi pensó… y sonrió. “¿Mi nombre?”
¡Todos aplaudieron! “¡Correcto!” dijo Najimi, dándole un dije en forma de puerta. “Esta es la Llave de la Casa Puzzle. Ahora eres parte del club.”
Kumi, suave pero firme. “Gracias. Al principio estaba nerviosa, pero… ustedes me hacen sentir muy bienvenida. Quiero hacer muchos recuerdos aquí.”
Ak: “Estamos felices de que estés aquí. Y, eh, si quieres resolver misterios juntos, solo dime.”
Rikka enlazó su brazo con Kumi. “¡Planifiquemos nuestra primera aventura!”
Najimi rió. “Solo si prometes no comerte todos los bocadillos.”
Komehyo hizo una reverencia divertida. “Bienvenida, Kumi. Superaste la primera prueba.”
Kumi miró a sus amigos. “Abramos cien puertas juntos.”
Así, el primer día de Kumi estuvo lleno de acertijos, risas y nueva amistad: el inicio perfecto para cien aventuras más.
