Story (CEFR: B1 English)
It was Rikka’s turn to choose the movie for club night. She picked a classic mystery, promising “plot twists, no ghosts, and at least one cat.” Najimi set up a mountain of snacks: popcorn, caramel rice cakes, and questionable green soda. Komehyo assembled a “projection system” of mirrors, cardboard, and a flashlight. Ak just hoped the lights would stay on. The living room filled with laughter as everyone squeezed onto beanbags and cushions. Rikka pressed play. The opening scene: a detective searching for a stolen violin… that meowed. “This is already the best movie ever,” Najimi declared, shoving popcorn into her mouth.

クラブの映画ナイトはリッカの番。彼女が選んだのは古典ミステリー。「どんでん返しあり、幽霊なし、猫は最低一匹出る」と約束する。ナジミはポップコーン、キャラメルライスケーキ、謎の緑ソーダなどおやつ山盛り。コメヒョは鏡と段ボールと懐中電灯で「手作りプロジェクター」を組み立てた。アクは停電しないことだけ祈る。リビングは笑い声とビーズクッションの山。リッカが再生ボタンを押す。オープニングは、盗まれたバイオリンを探す探偵…バイオリンが鳴く。ナジミが「もう最高の映画！」とポップコーンを頬張りながら叫ぶ。

Era el turno de Rikka de elegir la película para la noche de club. Escogió un clásico de misterio, prometiendo “giros inesperados, nada de fantasmas y por lo menos un gato”. Najimi preparó una montaña de bocadillos: palomitas, tortitas de arroz con caramelo y un refresco verde sospechoso. Komehyo montó un “sistema de proyección” con espejos, cartón y una linterna. Ak solo esperaba que no se fuera la luz. El salón se llenó de risas mientras todos se apretujaban en pufs y cojines. Rikka puso play. La escena inicial: un detective busca un violín robado… que maulla. “Esta ya es la mejor película de la historia”, declaró Najimi, llenándose la boca de palomitas.
Halfway through, the projector overheated. The screen turned green, and Komehyo yelped, “Not the cat filter!” Ak quickly fixed it with tape and a fan. The movie resumed, only to be interrupted by thunder and a brief blackout. Everyone shrieked, except Rikka, who calmly pulled out glow sticks. “Emergency lighting,” she said, passing them around. The room glowed neon as the movie continued in bursts, sometimes with sound, sometimes with just subtitles. Najimi provided live dubbing for the cat detective, meowing with dramatic flair. Komehyo tracked plot clues on a whiteboard, convinced he could solve the mystery before the characters did. Ak mostly laughed and tried not to choke on popcorn.

途中でプロジェクターが熱暴走、画面が緑色になりコメヒョが「猫フィルター発動！？」と叫ぶ。アクが慌ててテープと扇風機で応急処置。映画は続くが今度は雷で一瞬停電。みんな悲鳴、でもリッカは落ち着いてケミカルライトを配る。「非常灯です」と。部屋はネオン色に光り、映画は断続的に続行。たまに音声が消え、字幕だけになるとナジミが即興で猫探偵のアテレコ。「にゃおーん！」と演技派。コメヒョはホワイトボードに推理メモ、絶対キャラより先に事件を解く気満々。アクは笑いすぎてポップコーンでむせそう。

A mitad de la película, el proyector se sobrecalentó. La pantalla se volvió verde y Komehyo gritó: “¡No el filtro de gato!” Ak lo arregló rápidamente con cinta y un ventilador. La película siguió, solo para ser interrumpida por truenos y un breve apagón. Todos gritaron, excepto Rikka, que sacó barritas luminosas. “Iluminación de emergencia”, dijo, repartiéndolas. El cuarto brillaba con neón mientras la película seguía, a veces con sonido, a veces solo con subtítulos. Najimi hacía doblaje en vivo del detective gato, maullando con gran dramatismo. Komehyo anotaba pistas en una pizarra, decidido a resolver el misterio antes que los personajes. Ak reía y trataba de no atragantarse con las palomitas.
When the movie finally ended, no one could agree on the culprit. Najimi blamed the butler, Rikka suspected the neighbor’s dog, Komehyo insisted it was a conspiracy, and Ak voted for “everyone together.” In the end, they declared a tie and watched cat videos online until they fell asleep, the room lit by fading glow sticks and friendship.

映画が終わっても犯人論争は決着せず。ナジミは執事犯人説、リッカは隣の犬を疑い、コメヒョは陰謀論を展開、アクは「みんな共犯」を主張。結局引き分けで、全員で猫動画を観ながら眠りについた。ネオンの光と友情に包まれて。

Cuando la película terminó, nadie se puso de acuerdo sobre el culpable. Najimi culpó al mayordomo, Rikka sospechó del perro vecino, Komehyo aseguró que era una conspiración y Ak votó por “todos juntos”. Al final, declararon empate y vieron videos de gatos en línea hasta quedarse dormidos, la habitación iluminada por barritas de neón y amistad.
