Hello. My name is Milo. I am a cat. But I do not live in a house. I live in a library. A quiet, warm, beautiful place full of books.
こんにちは。ぼくの名前はミロ。ネコです。でも、家には住んでいません。図書館に住んでいます。静かで、あたたかくて、美しい場所。本がいっぱいです。
Hola. Me llamo Milo. Soy un gato. Pero no vivo en una casa. Vivo en una biblioteca. Un lugar tranquilo, cálido y hermoso, lleno de libros.
你好。我叫米洛。我是一只猫。但我不住在房子里。我住在图书馆。一个安静、温暖、美丽、满是书的地方。
In the morning, the librarian opens the door. I walk in first. I jump on the counter and wait. She pets me and says, “Good morning, Milo.”
朝になると、図書館の人がドアを開けます。ぼくが一番に入ります。カウンターに飛びのって、待ちます。図書館の人はぼくをなでて、「おはよう、ミロ」と言います。
Por la mañana, la bibliotecaria abre la puerta. Yo entro primero. Salto al mostrador y espero. Ella me acaricia y dice: “Buenos días, Milo.”
早上，图书管理员打开门。我第一个走进去。我跳上柜台等着。她摸摸我，说：“早上好，米洛。”
I walk between the shelves. I know every corner. I nap in the poetry section. I stretch in the history section. I hide behind fairy tales.
ぼくは本棚のあいだを歩きます。すみずみまで知っています。詩のコーナーで昼寝をします。歴史のコーナーでのびをします。おとぎ話のうしろにかくれます。
Camino entre los estantes. Conozco cada rincón. Duermo la siesta en la sección de poesía. Me estiro en la sección de historia. Me escondo detrás de los cuentos de hadas.
我在书架之间走动。我知道每个角落。我在诗歌区小睡，在历史区伸懒腰，在童话后面藏起来。
Children come in the afternoon. They sit on the carpet and read books. Sometimes they read aloud. I listen. I like their soft voices.
午後には子どもたちがやってきます。カーペットにすわって本を読みます。ときどき声に出して読みます。ぼくは聞きます。やさしい声が好きです。
Los niños vienen por la tarde. Se sientan en la alfombra y leen libros. A veces leen en voz alta. Yo escucho. Me gustan sus voces suaves.
下午孩子们来了。他们坐在地毯上看书。有时候会读出来。我听着。我喜欢他们柔和的声音。
At night, the lights go off. The librarian says, “Time to sleep, Milo.” I curl up on a chair. Around me, the books sleep too. We all dream in silence.
夜になると、明かりが消えます。図書館の人が言います。「ミロ、ねる時間よ」。ぼくはイスの上で丸くなります。まわりの本たちもねむります。みんな、しずかに夢を見ます。
Por la noche, las luces se apagan. La bibliotecaria dice: “Es hora de dormir, Milo.” Me enrosco en una silla. A mi alrededor, los libros también duermen. Todos soñamos en silencio.
晚上，灯熄了。图书管理员说：“米洛，该睡觉了。”我蜷在椅子上。周围的书也进入梦乡。我们都安静地做梦。
I am Milo, the library cat. I do not chase mice. I chase words, and I rest in stories.
ぼくはミロ。図書館ねこです。ネズミはおいかけません。ことばをおいかけて、ものがたりの中でやすみます。
Soy Milo, el gato de la biblioteca. No persigo ratones. Persigo palabras y descanso en las historias.
我是米洛，图书馆的猫。我不追老鼠。我追逐文字，在故事中休息。
