動きを表す前置詞、今回は「線状のものに沿って」進む動きや位置を示す along と、「～の周りを」ぐるりと移動したり、「～のあたりに」位置したりする around (または round) のペアを見ていきましょう。 動きの軌跡や範囲のイメージが使い分けの鍵になります。
along vs around のイメージ
along は線に「沿って」、around は「周りをぐるり」または「付近」
along の使い方：線状のものに「沿って」
along のコアイメージは「線状のものに平行に・沿って進む、または位置する」です！
川、道、海岸線、廊下など、**線のように長く伸びているものに「沿って」**移動したり、物が並んでいたりする状況を表します。「～に沿って」という意味です。
