Kaito and the Voices of the Heart

Summer arrived in the Valley of the Wind, but it was not a happy season. A terrible drought had come. The sun was hot and strong every day, and there was no rain. The river that ran through the valley became low, and the crops in the fields started to die. The villagers looked at the cloudless sky with worried faces.

The anxious thoughts of the villagers were a constant noise in Kaito's head. "We need rain..." "Our vegetables are dying." "What will we eat this winter?" The voices were full of fear and desperation. Kaito felt their collective sadness, and it made him anxious, too.

When he opened his eyes, nothing had changed around him. The spring was still dry, and the sky was still full of stars. He felt a little disappointed. Maybe it didn't work. He walked back to the village with a heavy heart.

But the next morning, Kaito woke up to a strange sound. It was a soft tapping on his window. He looked outside, and his eyes opened wide with joy. It was raining! Soft, gentle rain was falling on the dry earth.

He ran outside. The villagers were all out of their houses, looking up at the sky with grateful smiles. They were letting the rain fall on their faces, laughing with relief. The sound of the rain was the most beautiful music they had heard in a long time.

The rain continued for the whole day, giving the thirsty land enough water. The river started to flow again, and the dying crops began to look fresh and green. The village was saved.

No one knew that Kaito was the cause of the rain. But Kaito knew. He realized that his power was more than just hearing voices. It was a bridge. A bridge that could connect the hearts of people and maybe even connect people's hearts with nature.
