Phrasal Verbs in My Daily Routine

I got up a little earlier than usual because I wanted to get ahead on my homework. After I got out of bed, I looked around for my phone and turned off the alarm. I put on my slippers and went down to the kitchen. My mom was already there, so we talked about today’s plans as I sat down for breakfast. Before leaving, I packed up my backpack, making sure not to leave out any books.

On my way to school, I ran into my neighbor and we caught up on the latest news. At school, the teacher handed out worksheets and asked us to fill them out. If I came across something difficult, I asked for help and my friend talked me through it. After class, I wrote down my homework and looked over my notes. At lunch, I hung out with my friends and we laughed at funny stories before heading back to class. In the afternoon, I kept up with my studies and tried not to fall behind. When the final bell went off, I packed up my things and headed home, feeling good about what I’d accomplished.
