私は姓は諸葛、名は亮、字は孔明。人々からは「臥龍」と呼ばれていた。若き頃より隆中に隠棲し、山水と共に暮らし、日々書を読み、天下の動勢を静かに観察していた。漢王朝は衰え、諸侯が覇を競い、民は苦しんでいた。私は仕官しなかったが、胸には大志を抱き、天下を想っていた。やがて劉備が三度私の草庵を訪れ、その誠意に心を動かされて出仕した。ここから玄徳との深い絆が始まったのだった。

My name is Zhuge Liang, courtesy name Kongming, known to the world as “the Sleeping Dragon.” In my youth, I lived in seclusion in Longzhong, among mountains and rivers, studying day and night while observing the tides of the world. The Han dynasty was in decline, warlords divided the land, and the people suffered. Though I held no official position, I carried deep ambition and concern for the realm. Later, Liu Bei visited my cottage three times—his sincerity moved me, and I finally agreed to leave my retreat. Thus began our bond of mutual trust and destiny.

Mi apellido es Zhuge, nombre Liang, con el nombre de cortesía Kongming. Me conocían como el “Dragón Durmiente”. En mi juventud viví retirado en Longzhong, rodeado de montañas y ríos, estudiando día y noche mientras observaba silenciosamente el rumbo del mundo. La dinastía Han se debilitaba, los señores de la guerra dividían la tierra y el pueblo sufría. Aunque no ocupaba cargo alguno, tenía grandes aspiraciones y preocupación por el país. Más tarde, Liu Bei vino a mi cabaña tres veces, y su sinceridad me conmovió. Entonces decidí abandonar mi retiro. Así nació el vínculo entre Xuande y yo.

私が出仕して最初にしたのは、「隆中対」と呼ばれる策を劉備に献じ、天下三分の計を立てることであった。その後、荊州を手に入れ、さらに益州を奪い、西南を安定させて、ついに魏・呉・蜀の三国鼎立の形を作り上げた。劉備の私に対する信頼は、他の誰とも比較にならなかった。私は彼を父のように敬い、その命にはすべて従った。国政も軍務も、大小すべてが私に託された。私は名声も地位も求めず、ただ全身全霊で、知遇への恩に報い、漢王朝を興し、民を安んじたいと願っていた。

Upon entering service, I presented Liu Bei with the “Longzhong Plan,” envisioning a tripartite division of the realm. Later, I assisted him in securing Jingzhou and conquering Yizhou, stabilizing the southwest and forming the foundation of the Three Kingdoms. Liu Bei’s trust in me was unmatched. I served him as a father, obeyed his words, and oversaw both governance and military affairs. I sought neither fame nor fortune, only to repay his kindness with all my intellect, restore the Han dynasty, and bring peace to the people.

Al ingresar al servicio de Liu Bei, le presenté el “Plan de Longzhong”, donde propuse una estrategia para dividir el mundo en tres partes. Después lo ayudé a tomar Jingzhou y conquistar Yizhou, estabilizando el suroeste y formando la base del equilibrio entre los tres reinos. La confianza que Liu Bei depositó en mí no tenía igual. Lo serví como a un padre, escuché sus órdenes y me encargué de los asuntos civiles y militares. 玄徳が白帝城で亡くなった時、彼は遺児の劉禅を私に託した。私は胸を引き裂かれる思いだった。それ以降、私は丞相であると同時に、父であり師でもあった。私は後主劉禅に政治を教え、悪を罰し、善を励まし、軍政を整え、法を施行した。朝廷内で彼を軽んじる者は誰一人おらず、蜀の民も私を信頼し、感謝してくれた。私はいつも自分に言い聞かせていた。「身を粉にして働き、命尽きるまで尽くす」と。それは単なる言葉ではなく、私の人生の誓いだった。

When Xuande passed away at Baidi City, he entrusted his son Liu Shan to me—I felt as if my heart was being torn apart. From then on, I was both Chancellor and father-figure. I guided the young lord in state affairs, punished the wicked, promoted the good, reorganized the army, and enforced laws. No one in court dared deceive him. The people of Shu respected and trusted me. I always reminded myself: “To devote myself wholly, until death.” That was not just a saying—it was my life’s vow.

Cuando Xuande murió en la ciudad de Baidi, me confió a su hijo Liu Shan. Sentí que el corazón se me partía. Desde entonces, fui tanto canciller como padre y maestro. Instruí al joven emperador en política, castigué a los malvados, premié a los virtuosos, reformé el ejército y apliqué las leyes. Nadie en la corte se atrevía a engañar al joven soberano. El pueblo de Shu me respetaba y confiaba en mí. Siempre me repetía: “Entregarme por completo hasta la muerte.” No era un lema, sino la promesa de toda mi vida.
