English Story (CEFR: A1)
It’s Sunday morning. Hana wakes up early.
“Good morning, Papa!” she says.
“Good morning, Hana. Do you want to make cookies today?”
Hana’s eyes shine. “Yes! Yes!”
They wash their hands and go to the kitchen.
“Flour, sugar, butter…” says Dad. “We need eggs too!”
Hana cracks an egg. “Oops! Some shell fell in!”
“That’s okay,” says Dad. “Let’s take it out together.”
They mix the dough and roll it out. Hana uses a star-shaped cutter.
“Look! A cookie star!” she laughs.
Dad puts the tray in the oven. “Now we wait.”
The sweet smell fills the kitchen.
“Mmm… I love this smell,” says Hana.
Ding! The cookies are ready.
They take them out. “They look perfect!” says Dad.
They eat one each. “Yummy!”
“Best cookies ever!” says Hana.
Dad smiles. “Because we made them together.”

日曜日の朝。ハナは早く起きました。
「パパ、おはよう！」
「おはよう、ハナ。今日はクッキー作ってみる？」
ハナの目がキラキラ。「やる！やりたい！」
ふたりは手を洗って、キッチンへ。
「小麦粉、お砂糖、バター…卵もいるよ」とパパ。
ハナは卵を割って、「あっ！かけらが入っちゃった！」
「大丈夫、一緒に取ろうね」とパパ。
生地をまぜて、のばして、型でぬきます。ハナは星の型を使いました。
「見て！クッキーのおほしさま！」と笑うハナ。
パパがトレーをオーブンに入れて、「あとは焼けるのを待とう」
甘いにおいがキッチンいっぱいに広がります。
「ん〜、いいにおい！」とハナ。
チン！クッキーが焼き上がりました。
「わあ、いい感じ！」とパパ。
ふたりで一つずつ食べて、「おいしい！」
「いままでで一番おいしいクッキーだよ！」とハナ。
パパはにっこり。「ふたりで作ったからね」
