Tourism brings people from different parts of the world together, offering opportunities for cultural exchange and economic growth. For many communities, tourism provides jobs, supports local businesses, and helps preserve traditional crafts and practices. However, it can also have negative effects on local cultures.

One concern is cultural loss. When tourists visit in large numbers, communities may start changing their traditions to suit visitor expectations. This can lead to performances or products that are made only to attract tourists, rather than reflect true local culture. Over time, authentic practices may disappear.
