我叫西乡隆盛，出生于萨摩，一个以刚烈著称的藩。自小我就知道，我们生活的这个国家，正在腐朽的幕府制度中缓慢窒息。但要改变它，需要的不只是勇气，更需要牺牲。我曾三次被流放，也曾三次归来，每一次都带着更强的决意。

My name is Saigo Takamori. I was born in Satsuma, a domain known for its strength and pride. Even as a child, I could feel it—this nation was slowly suffocating under the rot of the Tokugawa shogunate. But changing it required more than courage—it required sacrifice. I was exiled three times, and returned each time with stronger resolve.

At first, I was just a low-ranking official, dealing with documents. But as reforms progressed in the domain, I was called into the center of power. Satsuma was transforming rapidly, thanks to the cooperation between Shimazu Hisamitsu and the lower-ranking samurai. I believed that such cooperation was a model for Japan’s future.
